The main objective of the preparatory project is to form a strong, knowledgeable trans-national partnership and jointly write an application for main project funding under the Northern Periphery programme.

The project idea which will be developed and proposed in the main project application is a virtual careers centre for the fisheries sector. This idea was created in an attempt to deal with some of the severe difficulties currently being experienced in the fisheries sector in terms of employment and future prospects for the sector. This careers centre would be unique and innovative, as nothing similar currently exists.

Target Area: Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Nordland in Norway, further partners sought in Iceland & Faroe Islands
