In the project the participating municipalities and other organisations will choose different kind of measures to support positive developing in sparsely populated municipalities and regions, for example:- New innovations for make solutions for the problems of the sparsely populated areas and depopulation there
· New financing models for the innovations in areas
· Small scale innovation laboratories for the new regional and local development tasks
· Data bank, municipalities in sparsely populated region can arrange information service in network, to serve everyone who need some kind of information from the region, for ex. about social services.
· Regional co-operation to map and create job opportunities.
· Common organising of special services, activities for leisure time and other things.
· Supporting of women activity in social economy, that will produce services for elderly and children.
· Systematic collection of information related to social policy and with help of it to follow-up welfare situation in the region and to allocate services.
· Different kind of measures to support student connections to home area while studying and after it.
· To develop the good sides of sparsely populated areas and to exploit them goal directed.

Target Area: Keski-Pohjanmaa, Pohjois-Pohjanmaa, Kainuu, Lappi,Norrbotten and Scotland, Highlands & Islands
