Preparatory and micro projects must submit reports within 3 months of the closure of the project. The reports should be sent to the NPP Secretariat with the application for payment and an independent auditor’s statement.
The reporting requirements for preparatory projects follow the same principles as the progress reports for main projects. The micro project report is included in the financial reporting.
The grant to micro and preparatory projects is paid out following submission of the report and takes the form of payment of the final balance. These payments must be related to eligible expenditure actually paid out by the Lead Partner or other project partners. National co-financing should be claimed before the NPP funding can be claimed. Payments will be issued to the Lead Partner of the project, who then allocates the payment to the other partners involved in the project.
Commission Regulation (EC) no 448/2004 regulates the eligibility of costs in relation to activities financed by the European Regional Development Fund. Copies of this regulation can be downloaded from the Document Library of the NPP website.
