Information & Publicity

All projects that receive assistance from the European Structural Funds are under specific obligations to publicise the use of their EU grant. In practice, this means that any project documentation (meeting documents, posters, brochures, press releases, website, calls for tender, newsletters etc.) should display on their title page:

The NPP logo, the EU emblem, as well as either of the following texts:

  • “Project part-financed by the European Union”
  • “Project part-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund) within the INTERREG IIIB Northern Periphery Programme”

Further detail on these requirements can be found in the documents below and copies of all emblems, logos and documents can be downloaded from the document library of the NPP website.

Datasheet 8: Outlines the specific information requirements set by the Northern Periphery Programme.

EC Regulation 1159/2000 on Information and Publicity Requirements: Lays down the rules for information and publicity about assistance from the Structural Funds.

Practical Guide to Communicating on the Structural Funds: This useful document is written by the European Commission and provides some handy tips on how to communicate your project to a wider audience, as well as guidance on how to fulfil the EU's requirements concerning information and publicity.

For further information on any of these issues, please contact the Joint Programme Secretariat for advice.
