
| Vacancy at the Secretariat for Kattegat-Skagerrak - Project Finance Officer 24 April 2008 The Interreg IVA Kattegat-Skagerrak Secretariat is the first contact point for project partners in South-Western Scandinavia. As part of the set up of the new programme the secretariat is now looking to recruit a Project Finance Officer to the office in Kungsbacka, south of Gothenburg, Sweden. The programme working language is Scandinavian and Norwegian and Danish applicants are especially welcome. | NPP Launch - presentations now online 12 March 2008 The launch of the Northern Periphery Programme 2007-2013 took place on 20-21 February in Aviemore, Scotland. On behalf of the NPP Programme Monitoring Committee and the Chair Mr. Jim Millard, we would like to thank all participants for their active participation in the event. The presentations have now been made available under "Downloads" in the folder “Programme Launch”. Here you will also find the final programme and the delegates list. | Claiming funding in NPP 2007-2013 29 February 2008 As most Lead Partners have been informed, a new system for certifying the expenses in projects is required in accordance with the European Union Regulations. The expectation is that payments from NPP 2007-2013 of project claims will not be able to be made before summer 2008, most likely early autumn 2008. To help with the process of understanding the new reporting system, a Lead Partner seminar is planned on the 12th and 13th of June 2008 in Bergen. Norway. One focus on that Lead Partner Seminar will be on reporting routines and a full description on how to claim funding will be given. More information and an invitation will follow during spring 2008. | NPP 2007-2013 Launched! 27 February 2008 The Northern Periphery Programme 2007-2013 was officially launched at a special event on 20-21 February 2008 in Aviemore, Scotland. The launch event attracted over 100 participants, mainly decision makers at local, regional and national level from all regions of the programme area. The event featured key note speakers from the European Commission, the Scottish Government and leading academics in the field of regional development. The demographic challenge was one of the main topics discussed. Tailored workshops were set up to facilitate the development of future projects ddressing issues of strategic importance to the programme area, regional transport and small scale renewable energy resources. The outcomes of the workshops will be used by the Programme Monitoring Committee when defining strategic topics for the NPP 2007-2013 and outlining potential strategic project ideas at its next meeting in May 2008.
