The Northern Periphery Programme covers a large geographical area and involves parts of the Member States of Finland, Ireland, Sweden and the United Kingdom (Scotland and Northern Ireland) - in cooperation with the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland and Norway. The programme has benefited from an expansion of the programme area in the 2007 - 2013 programming period to include Ireland, Northern Ireland, additional regions on the west coast of Norway, and Dumfries and Galloway and North East Moray in Scotland.
